Usually people have a good idea of how they want to use their space. They may be designing and fitting their own kitchen. A common error people make when designing their own kitchen is neglecting to consider corner posts and infill panels. They may look at the dimensions of the units available - 150mm, 300mm and so on and they plan the kitchen using these dimensions. If there is a corner, they may not take the corner post into consideration. The corner post allows door to open fully and drawers to be pulled out without clashing into handles. Where units finish up to a wall it is advisable to have an infill panel to allow some space for the door to open fully. It may seem like there is enough space but walls are rarely perfectly straight and skirting boards and architraves may prevent doors from opening fully. Happy designing!
